The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) has reduced import duties on brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, dates, dried grapes and pistachios.  The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has signed a corresponding document, the press service of the EEC reports on Friday.

“These vegetables, fruits and nuts if produced within the union are not in sufficient number to satisfy domestic demand. Therefore, the EEC College decides to reduce import duties, thus reducing the final price of the products,” Minister for trade of the EEC Veronica Nikishina explains.

Import duties on pistachios and dates are reduced to 0% on a constant basis. Import duties on Brussels sprouts and cauliflower are reduced from 11-13% to 5% of the customs value until the end of May, 2019, the same temporary period is provided for reduced customs duties from 5% to 0% on dried grapes.
