In 2016, Russian Government intends to allocate 4,1 billion rubles in subsidies for the development of its agrifood sector. More than a half of this amount (2,8 billion rubles) goes to the Republic of Crimea for the implementation of several programmes for crop production (1,7 billion rubles) and for livestock production (1,1 billion rubles), reports the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

“The total amount of subsidies from the federal budget this year amounts to 4,1 billion rubles including the Republic of Crimea that will receive 2,8 billion rubles for the implementation of programmes for crop production – 1,7 billion rubles, and for livestock – 1,1 billion rubles, “- said the Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev at the Government’s meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on June 30.

State funds will be divided between 31 regions for implementation of programmes for development of crop and livestock production selected at a meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
