This morning the official list of 22 largest Italian companies to be presented in the pavilion ‘Italy in Russia’ during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was released.
The companies to be presented are involved in five specific sectors that are by far the most interesting for the Russian market at the moment, namely mechanics and high-tech, energy, agro-industry, infrastructure and finance. Among the participants are: Leonardo-Finmeccanica, Intesa Sanpaolo, Banca Intesa Russia, Pirelli Tyre Russia, Mikro Kapital (General Invest SpA), Industrial NV, Danieli, MIR Capital, Barilla G. e R. Fratelli SpA, Pietro Fiorentini SpA, Enel, Maire Tecnimont SpA Probiotical Mofin Alce Group, Codest International Srl, DBA Group Srl, Inalca SpA, Veronafiere – Vinitaly, Prysmian Group, OOO TC Group Energy, Astaldi SpA, Eni and Ital Engineering International.
The pavilion ‘Italy in Russia’ was organized by Association Conoscere Eurasia in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Moscow, and realized by Fiera Milano Congressi, Nolostand the Fiera Milano Group and Study Group 80. It will be in the spot light during all the three days of the ‘Russian Davos’. It is supposed to be attended by thousands of top managers from all over the world. There is also a huge Italian delegation led by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to attend the forum.
According to the president of the Association Conoscere Eurasia Antonio Fallico, this numerous participation of Italian companies in the SPIEF shows that the cooperation between the two countries can be strengthen despite sanctions. Mr Fallico believes that during the Forum, Italian and Russian companies will sign partnership agreements and Memorandum for long-term cooperation. The very name of the pavilion – ‘Italy in Russia’ – puts emphasis on the need to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries “not only what concerns the Made in Italy but also and most importantly Made with Italy”.
At the 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, to be hold from June 6 to 8, Italy is the partner state. The main sponsors of the pavilion ‘Italy in Russia’ are: LLC Pirelli Tyre Russia, Mikro Kapital (General Invest SpA), Leonardo-Finmeccanica, Intesa Sanpaolo and Banca Intesa Russia.
