On March 25, in the Erarta Museum in St. Petersburg, will be presented the XXI International Exhibition of the Triennale di Milano entitled “21st Century. Design After Design”. La Triennale di Milano is taking place in Milan from April, 2 to September, 12, 2016.
The presentation was organized by the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture in St. Petersburg. Among participants will be representatives of the Comune di Milano, the Triennale Foundation and the Triennale Design Museum.
La Triennale di Milano is an international institution that spreads design skills through the various countries of the world. It is all about design, art, architecture, communication, landscape, and visual arts.
This year, the exhibition “Design After Design” will speak on new challenges of the world of design in today’s technology driven world. It will touch all issues connected to globalization, highly mobile individuals, cross-dependency of global markets and high volatility of financial sector, which are calling for creation of a new equilibrium for coexistence, a new scenario.
There will be presented 20 exhibitions within the “Design After Design” fair, 11 of which are prepared by Scientific Committee and 9 – in cooperation with other parties (museums, Italian Government Tourist Board ENIT, institutions and companies).
For five months the Palazzo dell’Arte will be the epicenter of the multidisciplinary events of the XXI Triennale di Milano, but not only, the event will involve the entire city of Milan, turning out in la Fabbrica del Vapore, HangarBicocca, Mudec – Museo delle Culture, Museo Diocesano, Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, Palazzo della Permanente, Politecnico di Milano – Campus Leonardo e Bovisa, Ex Stecca delle Acciaierie Ansaldo, Università Iulm, Villa Reale di Monza. There are already scheduled lectures, conferences, performances, workshops, music and theater performances to be held in a daily basis.
