Russian Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev told journalists on the amount of state subsidies to be allocated to the industry
In 2016, Russian agricultural machinery industry will receive 10 billion rubles in state subsidies, reports Interfax citing the Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev as saying during his visit to the Altai Krai on Friday.
“Together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade we are working on a development programme to support national mechanical engineering. This year, for these purposes 10 billion rubles will be allocated for the industry,” cites Interfax Mr Tkachev as saying during the Russian Field Day held in the Altai Krai from 14 to 16 July.
According to the Minister thanks to the allocated funds the farmers will get around 17 thousand new vehicles.
In June, the Ministry of Agriculture has released a working programme for ‘importsubstitution’ in the agricultural machinery industry targeting to revive the country’s agroindustrial complex. The document proposes medium-long term targets to contribute to the national efforts in this domain.
