Moscow will have ten hotels by the end of 2016, reports the Moscow City Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning with reference to Deputy Mayor for urban policy and the construction of Moscow Marat Husnullin.
According to him, it is planned to construct and put into use ten hotels by the end of the year in the Russian capital. Four of them were already put into operation. Their total area amounts to about 60 thousand square meters. The area of the other six hotels will be about 200 thousand square meters.
In 2015, nine hotels were opened in Moscow; while over the past five years, some 35 hotels had been opened in the capital. According to Mr. Husnullin, before the beginning of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the capital should provide not less than 30 thousand hotel rooms.
“The city is going to build two- and three-star hotels in various parts of the capital. Today, we actively stimulate the construction of hotels,” the deputy mayor said.
