Russian Economic Development Ministry to suggest the government to privatize another 8% in diamond mining giant Alrosa in 2017, Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said on Monday, reports Prime news agency.
Back in July, Russian government sold some 10.9% in state-owned Alrosa to private investors for RUB52.181 bln on the Moscow Exchange.
“We’ve put forward this option. We will continue to suggest it and see what happens,” cites agency Mr Ulyukayev as saying.
In 2017, the ministry plans to privatize 10.9% in the country’s second largest bank VTB Bank and 20% in Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP), according to him.
