The World Bank has published today the new growth forecasts for the Western Balkans. They are contained in the last World Bank Regular Economic Report.
In 2018, GDP growth in Albania is expected at 3.6%, in Bosnia and Herzegovina at 3.2%, in Kosovo at 4.8%, at 2.3% in Macedonia, at 2.8% in Montenegro , 3% in Serbia.
For 2019, the World Bank provides 3.5% in Albania, 3.4% in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 4.8% in Kosovo, 2.7% in Macedonia, 2.5% in Montenegro, 3.5% in Serbia. In the new World Bank Regular Economic Report, the World Bank has lowered growth forecasts in the Balkan region to 3.2% (for 2018) and 3.5% (for 2019). In the previous report published in November 2017, the growth forecast was estimated at 3.3% for 2018 and 3.6% for 2019.
