In spite of sanctions against Russia, ExxonMobil extends its cooperation with Rosneft for the supply of liquefied gas.

In the construction of a methane plant in the Far East, the two companies could join other companies: the Chinese CNPC, as well as two Japanese companies. The deadline for submission of applications for participation in the construction expires on September 30, says the television channel “Rossia 24”. The cost of the project is estimated at around 15 billion dollars.

In the meantime, due to the penalties ExxonMobil had to give up a series of projects with the Russian partner. Because of these limitations, the company has estimated losses of almost $ 200 million.
