An explosion rocked the entrance of a Federal Security Service (FSB) building in Russia’s northern city of Arkhangelsk on Wednesday morning, killing one person, the state-run TASS news agency reported, citing emergency services.

According to TASS, the victim, who was not an FSB member, died while receiving medical help.

A spokesperson for the National Anti-Terrorist Committee confirmed to the news agency that the explosion had happened at the entrance to the building.

Regional Governor Igor Orlov was cited as saying that three people had been injured in the explosion.

The building has been evacuated.
