The Fifth Eurasian Economic Forum in Italian city of Verona opens up on October 20 under a theme ‘The Art of Innovation’.

The event will be divided into two main sections, ‘Geopolitical processes in Greater Eurasia, 2016’ and ‘Innovations as the everyday creativity’. Under these headings, participants will discuss key issues in economics, finance, energy, geopolitics, innovative infrastructure, agriculture, and agribusiness. Particular attention will be paid to new models of economic cooperation in the context of global crisis, as well as to interregional cooperation.

Within two days of the forum, there will be held 8 roundtables with over 60 speakers with the participation of: head of Rosneft Igor Sechin; President of Foundation for World Wide Cooperation Romano Prodi; Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tatyana Valovaya; President of the 10th Standing Committee (Industry, Trade, Tourism), Senate of the Italian Republic Massimo Mucchetti; Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Bielorussia Grigory Rapota; Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs Alexei Meshkov; Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprombank Andrey Akimov; Managing Director and head of Banca IMI Gaetano Micciche; Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Management Board of the Russian gas company Novatek Leonid Michelson; President of Banca Intesa and Conoscere Eurasia Association Antonio Fallico.

More than 600 people from 10 countries, including state officials, business leaders, political and public figures, diplomats, experts, and journalists are expected to participate in the forum.

The Forum is organized by the Conoscere Eurasia Association, Rosсongress with a support of Intesa Sanpaolo, Gazprombank, Verona’s administration, as well as the Region Group and Visa Handling Services.
