Kazakhstan’s GDP growth is projected to reach 1.9% in 2017, reports Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency with reference to the Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev.

The forecast includes the expectations that oil production of the country will increase due to commissioning of the Kashagan field.

In 2016, it is expected that the GDP growth to stay at 0.5% as expected earlier; while inflation rate will reach 8.5%, Mr Bishimbayev said.

In 2015 the GDP growth of Kazakhstan hit 1.2%; while annual inflation stood at 13.6%.
