Iran and Kazakhstan to cooperate in construction of several renewable energy plants in southern Kazakhstan, reports Trend news agency.
The general agreement reached during a joint economic committee meeting in Tehran includes eight green energy projects worth USD1.3 billion, reports the daily citing Kazakh Minister of Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek.
Kazantzakis also intend to provide Iran with a list of companies destined for privatization seeking to increase economic ties between the two countries, according to Mr Kassymbek.
The daily also reports that the Kazakh Minister and Iran’s Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Hojjati signed an agreement long 58 articles providing for cooperation in the areas of customs, banking, agriculture, water management, transportation, communication, petrochemicals, tourism, health, cooperative, science, technology, and mines.
