Now you can go to the restaurant and discover everything on the ordered dish: from the origin of the ingredients to the agricultural chain that produced them, from the nutritional values to the companies that have packed the product. All through a QR Code that allows you to consult a database with blockchain technology.
To propose the first certified recipe blockchain is the chef Antonello Colonna, who presented the first blockchain certified panzanella – with a clear recipe based on Torpedino tomato, bread with wholemeal flour, extra virgin olive oil and basil, as well as historical curiosities of this summer dish typical of central Italy.
The certification service was developed by the Roman start-up “pOsti” which is able to code each step of the production chain, from the field to the plate. The technological partner of pOsti is Foodchain Spa, which has developed a proprietary technology to guarantee agrifood companies traceability, traceability, quality control and greater safety in the supply chain.
