Lineapellem, the leading leather trade show opens its doors to an international industry audience from today to September 22 in Milan.

The exhibition is dedicated to leather accessories, components, synthetics and models for footwear, leather goods, garments and furniture. Over 1100 exhibitors from 40 countries have gathered to showcase the latest in leather and materials, demonstrating new development in innovation and creativity. Among them are Russian exhibitors, naming JSC Khrom, LLC Karavan-SK, JSC Russkaya Kozha, PJSC Spassk Tannery, LLC Rybinsk Tannery, and CJSC Layka who will be presented in a separate pavilion dedicated to them organized with support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

“Lineapelle 2016 is a great opportunity for Russian companies to showcase their products to the global market,” Russian Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Viktor Evtukhov said. According to him, the production volume of this sector in Russia amounts to about 15 million rubles; while annual state subsidies reach about 10% of it. “In the first half of 2016, leather production grew some 16.5% over the same period of 2015. Russia is ready to supplier its products to Italy, Germany and China. Our participation in Lineapelle international leather trade show will contribute to our image as a reliable partner and key player in global leather sector”.

Launched in 1981, Lineapellem has become one of the most qualified international exhibition of leather and accessories, components, synthetics for footwear, leather goods, garments and furniture. The event takes place twice a year, in February for the summer and September for the winter collections, at the Milan exhibition center (Fieramilano Rho).
