Two thirds of the Moscow metro will be renewed by 2020: 1600 new wagons dispensed over the next three years. This is the announcement of the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, after the visit to the new “Vladykino” train depot.

On this occasion, Sobyanin spoke with the metro workers and shared his plans for developing tension for the next ten years. According to the mayor, the length of the lines and the number of stations will double by 2025. In the next three years, the subway will receive more than 1,600 new trains for Moscow trains. “And from the first of July this year, we will increase the salaries of metro workers by 4 percent,” he added.

The construction and the reconstruction of the deposit will continue. The expansion of the “Vladykino” electrical depot, which serves the underground “gray” branch, is already underway and will be dealt with by the end of 2019.
