Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Budapest Mayor Istvan Tarlos have signed an agreement on cooperation for the next three years. The two capitals intend to cooperates in urban construction and transportation, as well as in spheres of culture and tourism, reports the website of the Moscow Mayor.
“Despite difficulties our cooperation continues to evolve. I believe this agreement will bring interaction between our cities at a new level,” said Mr. Sobyanin.
According to him, the document includes such priority areas as urban construction policy, design engineering, transportation, management of urban traffic flows, interaction in the social area, health care, education, culture and tourism.
Budapest Mayor thanked Mr Sobyanin for invitation to Moscow: “it is very important for the government of my country to build good relationships between our cities. Hungary highly appreciates good relations with our Russian colleagues,” he said, adding that the signed agreement would most probably prolonged after 2019.
