A new district with houses in classical Italian style will appear soon in Razvilka township, 2 km from Moscow ring road MKAD. A project of the ‘Roman’ district of Moscow was presented last week by the head of the construction development company ‘Lider’ Vladimir Voronin. The company expects to invest around RUB30 bln in the construction.

The architectural concept of the ‘Roman’ district was developed by Mikhail Filippov, who delivered it after conducting a profound research of historic centers of several Italian cities. “The project is based on the layout of ancient Rome – small cozy courtyards flow from one to another. The district has a total of 80 blocks of houses, each of which has it unique facade,” he said.

With area totaling 540 thousand m2, the project will provide over 300 thousand m2 for residential uses. Buildings of 3 to 12 storeys, as well as kindergartens, schools, and other social and business centers will be located on a plot of 24.7 hectares. Various infrastructure facilities and residential buildings will total 99.5 thousand m2. Recreational zones, playgrounds and sportsgrounds, green and open spaces account to over a third of the total project area. The residential complex is expected to provide for 6 thousand apartments and 4.8 thousand parking spaces.
