According to the head of the Ramport Aero airport management company Thomas Vayshvila the airport Ramenskoye will be opened on March 15, reports TASS.

“In 5-6 days we expect to get the governmental order to permit international pilots to land in our airport, and then the second governmental decree will permit the opening of the international civilian and cargo airport,” he said.

The airport will be connected with an Aeroexpress trains Sputnik to Zhukovsky, a city in Moscow Oblast. The project is fully financed by Russian Railways and will be launched in September 2016.

The first flight in the airport will be exercised by Russian charter company IFly.

In 2016, the airport expects to serve almost two million passengers.

The construction of the airport was done by Rostec and the Lithuanian company Avia Solutions Group.
