China and Kazakhstan plan to implement some 51 joint projects in different spheres in Kazakhstan, reports Kazakh President’s press-service.

According to the press-service release, facilities for two of them have been already built, four more facilities worth USD2.5 bln are to be completed by the end of 2016, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said following his working visit to China. He also said that within 5 years the parties plan to build joint facilities worth USD26 bln.

“My working visit to the People’s Republic of China was held at a very high level, with an exceptional attitude of China to all the issues of bilateral cooperation. We agreed on joint construction of modern enterprises in the territory of Kazakhstan. The list includes 51 projects 2 of which have already been built and 4 more (worth USD2.5 bln) will be built in 2016. USD26bln is the overall cost of the projects to be implemented in five years,” Mr Nazarbayev said.

According to him, joint Kazakh-Chinese funds are operating to support these projects.
