Delivering an annual State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly Russia’s President Vladimir Putin ordered to provide all the hospitals and clinics of the country with high-speed wireless Internet within nexttwo years.

“I propose to provide as many hospitals and clinics as possible with high-speed wireless Internet in the next two years stimulating the use of telemedicine. That’s my first order,” Mr Putin said addressing it personally to the Minister of Communications Nikolay Nikiforov. He also warned him that the whole country is watching the implementation of telemedicine programmes.

Russia’s President also stressed a need in adopting information technologies to manage the country’s pharmaceutical market.
