Accreditation was opened for the journalists to participate at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annual press conference, which will take place on Dec. 22, the Kremlin press service reported on Friday.

“The Presidential Press and Information Office’s Department of Accreditation and Briefings is now taking accreditation requests to take part in the news conference of President Vladimir Putin. The news conference will take place on December 22, 2016,” reads the statement.

Accreditation requests will be accepted from the Russian media that are registered with Roskomnadzor and foreign journalists that are accredited with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs until 5 p.m. MSK on Dec. 9.

The Putin’s annual press conference is held since 2001. In 2008-2012 it was suspended, when Putin became Russia’s Prime Minister. The Q&A sessions were reintroduced in 2012 after Mr Putin was re-elected President of Russia.
