Russia may increase investments in agribusiness by 1 trillion rubles by 2020, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Last year total investments in agriculture amounted to some 1.5 trillion rubles. We believe this amount may rise by 1 trillion rubles by 2020,” reads the ministry’s statement.
“There are hundreds of investment projects we launched. Investors are interested not only in livestock projects, but also in greenhouse vegetable production and vineyards. In past two years we selected and subsidized about 500 investment projects worth 300 billion rubles,” Russian Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev said at a forum dedicated to agriculture in the framework of Russian Agricultural Exhibition “Golden Autumn – 2016”.
