Italy expects Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to visit the country before the end of the year, Russian Ambassador to Italy Sergei Razov said.

“Before the end of the year we expect Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation in the head of a group of businessmen to pay visit to Italy as well as Russian Foreign Minister to participate in international conferences and conduct bilateral negotiations,” said Mr. Razov adding that that bilateral relations between the two countries were seeing a sustainable development.

The Russian diplomat also noted that Italy like no other European country is paying particular attention to the development of cooperation with the countries of the Eurasian region.

“We appreciate the Italian leadership’s consistent policy aimed at maintaining dialogue with Russia. This position is rooted in public moods,” said Mr. Razov, adding that all crises come and go; while national and state interests rest to strengthen partnership, amid all the difficulties of the recent years. “This is a clear political signal for business cycles”, – the diplomat said.
