Russia is taking further steps in developing its non-energy exports. Russian products after being tested and approved by the International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT) will go on the shelves of foreign stores. Domestic certification will be exercised by Roskachestvo (Russian system of quality), reports Rossiyskay Gazeta.
“Roskachestvo is the fist official body in Russia, which entered the International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT). The Board of Directors of this prestigious international association has approved the admission of the ANO Russian quality system (Roskachestvo),” the newspaper was told in the organization.
Experts believe that this will contribute in developing interest of major international retailers in Russian domestic products. “International testing of Russian goods will facilitate Russian best brands awareness and will bring international recognition as well as will help to enter foreign markets,” the head of Roskachestva Maxim Protasov said.
International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT) is a global consortium of more than 35 consumer organizations dedicated to carrying out joint research and testing in the consumer interest.
