Kazakh, Azerbaijan and Georgian Railway Administrations signed a memorandum of Trans-Caspian international transport route association adopting its charter, reports Trend news agency with reference to Kazakh Prime Minister’s web site.

The document was signed at the meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TCITR) held in Astana. The meeting was attended by heads of railway administrations of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Among the activities of the association listed in the charter are: to attract transit and foreign trade cargo and develop Trans-Caspian international transport route’s integrated logistics products. The agreement establishing the Trans-Caspian International Transportation Consortium was signed back in April by Azerbaijan, Georgian and Kazakh railway authorities. Among the consortium members are Azerbaijani companies ADY Express and ACSC Logistics, Kazakhstan’s KTZ Express and Georgia’s Trans Caucasus Terminals LLC.

The TCITR goes to Europe through China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Ukraine.
