Snam wins tender to acquire 66% of the Greek operator DesfaMilano, 19 April. (askanews) – The European consortium made up of Snam, the largest shareholder with a 60% stake, together with Enagás (20%) and Fluxys (20%), confirms that it has been identified by the Greek Agency for Privatization (Taiped) as winner of the tender for the purchase of 66% of Desfa, the national operator in the natural gas infrastructure sector. Taiped accepted the 535 million bid presented by the consortium last week. Desfa manages, under a regulated regime, a high pressure transport network of about 1,500 kilometers, as well as a regassification terminal at Revithoussa. Snam, Enagás and Fluxys, shareholders of the Tap project, will in the next few years – says a press release – give a boost to the growth of the Greek natural gas infrastructure system, fully grasping the country’s potential as a hub, leveraging the development of the market and on new transit initiatives.
