One of the largest US restaurant groups Landry’s decided to enter the Russian market, reports Vedomosti on Thursday.

By the end of September, the group will present at the Buybrand Expo in Moscow several restaurant concepts and contracts of the master franchise.

The Director for international operations and franchising Landry’s Rocco Valentino has confirmed the intention of the restaurant group. “To conclude a franchise contract with us a partner is required to have an experience in the restaurant business and be ready to open 3-5 places in selected regions,” he said.

According to him, local partners will have an opportunity to develop in Russia such brands as Rainforest Cafe, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, T-Rex and Cadillac Mexican Kitchen.

As a group, Landry’s owns and operates more than 500 properties, including more than 40 unique brands such as Landry’s Seafood, Chart House, Saltgrass Steak House, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. etc. Through affiliated entities it also operates hotels and casinos. Landry’s is privately owned by Tillman Fertitta. This year, Fobes estimates his net worth at USD3.1 billion.
