Over 40% of Eurasian import trade accounts for the EU. Therefore, “such a close economic ties between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union tells us that the two Unions shall work together; and the fifth Eurasian Forum in Verona represents a great opportunity for creating a right dialogue between them,” said President of the Conoscere Eurasia Association Antonio Fallico at a press conference on “Integration processes in the Eurasian space: the importance of dialogue between the EU and the EAEU” that took place in Moscow, on October 12, with participation of Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev, and Eurasian Economic Commission Board Member and Minister in charge of the Development of Integration and Macroeconomics Tatiana Valovaya.
The event was dedicate to announce preparations for the fifth Eurasian Forum to be held in Italian city of Verona on October 20–21, 2016, with participation of CEO of Rosneft Igor Sechin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Pirelli Marco Tronchetti Provera, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov.
The slogan for the fifth Eurasian Forum is “The Art of Innovation”. Over 600 guests from Russia, Italy, Armenia, Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, and elsewhere confirmed their participation to the Forum.
The event will be divided into two thematic sections: “Geopolitical processes in Greater Eurasia” and “Innovations as everyday creativity”. Particular attention will be paid to new models of economic cooperation in the context of global crisis, as well as to interregional cooperation.
