Rosneft OJSC share price grew by more than 4% on the Moscow stock exchange on the news of the state company’s privatization.

As Bloomberg earlier today citing its unknown sources, 19.5% stake might go to China and India. The government is expecting to get at least 700 billion rubles ($11bln) for the deal. At 2.30 p.m. (MSK), this stake worth almost 690 billion rubles on the Moscow stock exchange.

The Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the solution for the Rosneft’s privatization is not yet decided. According to him, there are several options.

On Friday, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2016), Indian Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradha told the media that a deal was possible.

The government decided to privatize the company back in 2015 to plug budget hole due to falling oil prices and Westerns sanctions.
